Trade Programs

Electricians, sheet metal workers, carpenters and other trade workers can learn on the job or through apprenticeship programs or community colleges. Licensing is required for some trades. Work may be physically demanding, and a strong attention to detail is important. Job outlook is good, as many people who currently work a trade are nearing retirement.
